If you find a job that you are interested in, it is very important that you read the directions on the Job Announcement carefully and follow them exactly, as not all job announcements require the same things from a candidate. Once you have read and understand how to proceed, you will most likely need to fill out a job application, submit it to the appropriate department and then follow the instructions regarding the examination.

• Click on “Apply” and read and acknowledge the information
• Click on “I am a New User”
• Follow instructions given on the screen

Computer kiosks are located in the lobby of the Department of Human Resources, 1 South Van Ness Avenue, 4th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103 for use by the public. The hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Applications for this recruitment process are continuous (with periodic suspensions as needed). On a continuous list class, the exam process is administered periodically and each time an exam for a class is given, names of successful candidates are added to an existing list with an eligibility period. Names are removed from a continuous list at the end of the eligibility period.
