graduating engineering student program
Under this program, students in their final year of an engineering program can qualify by providing proof of current enrollment at a college/university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) with a major in civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental, chemical, or transportation engineering, or a related engineering degree program.
Students graduating from a non-ABET accredited engineering program can qualify by providing proof of current enrollment in their final year at a college/university with a major in civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental, chemical, or transportation engineering, or a related engineering degree program; AND possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training Certificate (National Council of Engineering Educators).
Candidates appointed to positions under this program will be required to submit proof of graduation within 120 calendar days of the start work date. Failure to provide proof of graduation will result in separation from employment.
This is a continuous examination process. All eligible candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and pass this evaluation of education and experience will have their names placed on the eligible list. Final scores will be reflected in rank order.
